About Me

Hi there! My name is Melanie and I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I have a master’s degree in social work from Rutgers University and have experience working with individuals at the partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and traditional outpatient levels of care. I am foundationally trained in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) which means we will utilize your inherent abilities, and acquire new strategies, to both accept and change things within yourself and your life. I also incorporate mindfulness based practices within sessions to help increase awareness to yourself and others without judgment.

In my personal life I love traveling, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and pets. In my professional life, I am a dedicated therapist who will work hard to provide you with personalized and effective treatment. I have experience working with those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, suicidal ideation, self-harm, eating disorders, and grief and loss. I can also help you navigate daily life stressors, transitions, relationship and communication challenges, and fostering self-compassion. I look forward to discussing how I can best support you!
